Deep in the heart of a forest, where the trees whisper secrets to the wind, I found a piece of wood unlike any other. It was weathered and ancient, its surface rough with the marks of time. To most, it was just a fallen tree, a remnant of the woods. But to me, it was a story waiting to be told.
I’m Lucy, a young sculptor with a love for breathing life into the natural world. When I saw that piece of wood, I felt an inexplicable connection. As if it called to me, asking to reveal the spirit within. I began my work slowly, feeling my way, each chisel stroke uncovering a new emotion, a new detail. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months.
And then, there she was. A face began to emerge from the wood, her eyes deep and soulful, as if she was looking right into the hearts of those who gazed upon her. Her expression, gentle yet mysterious, seemed to hold stories of a thousand forgotten dreams. The grains of the wood became her flowing hair, cascading around her like a natural frame that both hid and revealed her beauty.
Here is the image of Lucy, the young sculptor, actively preparing wood for her sculpture in a forest:

Every day, I would work with care, shaping her features, her presence growing stronger and more vivid with each passing hour. As the face became clearer, I could feel her spirit come alive, a guardian of the forest, a reminder of nature’s enduring strength and grace.
Now, she stands tall, her presence both serene and commanding, a piece of the forest brought to life. Some say they see sorrow in her eyes; others see wisdom or wonder. To me, she represents the untold stories that lie hidden in the world around us, waiting for someone to uncover them.
This sculpture, my “Woman in the Wood,” is more than just a piece of art; she is a connection between the past and the present, between nature and the human spirit. I hope that when you look at her, you feel the same sense of wonder and mystery that I did when I began this journey.
Thank you for letting me share this piece of my soul with you.
