Today, I am wearing this uniform to honor the memory of my beloved husband, George, who would have turned 85 years old today. George was more than just a dedicated soldier; he was a true patriot who devoted his entire life to serving our country. As a Major in the Army, he embodied the values of honor, courage, and commitment. His deep love for our nation and his unwavering belief in the principles of freedom and justice guided him every day of his life.

George wasn’t just a hero on the battlefield; he was a hero at home as well. He was a loving husband who always put his family first, a caring father who taught our children the values of respect and integrity, and a doting grandfather who brought joy and laughter into the lives of our grandchildren. His strength, kindness, and sense of duty have left a lasting impact on all of us, and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t miss him dearly.
