The Quiet Farm Life

The city had always felt suffocating to Ethan. Despite the towering skyscrapers, luxury cars, and glittering lights, he never found peace in the constant hum of city life. The traffic, the hurried footsteps, and the endless race to the next promotion or bigger apartment left him restless. Every day, the same thought crept into his mind: “This isn’t what I want.”

One weekend, Ethan took a spontaneous trip to the countryside, far away from the city’s grasp. He stayed at a small farm nestled between rolling hills, where the nearest neighbor was miles away. The air was fresher, the sky clearer, and the silence was a symphony of its own — just the gentle rustle of leaves, the distant moo of a cow, and the slow pace of life that allowed time to stretch and breathe.

He woke with the sun, feeling the warmth on his skin, not from artificial city lights, but from the natural glow of dawn. He spent his days tending to animals, planting vegetables, and sipping coffee on the porch while watching the wind dance through golden fields.

There were no honking horns or crowded sidewalks. There was no pressure to keep up with the latest trends or compete for status. Instead, the rhythm of life was dictated by the seasons, the sunrise and sunset, and the earth beneath his feet.

Ethan knew then what he wanted. A mansion in the city, no matter how grand, could never offer him the contentment that this simple farm did. In the stillness of the countryside, he found something far more valuable than wealth: peace.
